SHORT SYNOPSIS

PRIVACY is a psychological thriller set in and out of Mumbai slums. It follows the story of Roopali, who works at the Mumbai surveillance camera command center as an operator. While being ambitious, she constantly fights her own guilt and resists her dark past. Things start to get complicated when Roopali ignores protocol and begins to investigate a robbery/murder that takes place on her watch.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

SUDEEP KANWAL

Sudeep Kanwal is an award-winning filmmaker, who graduated from City College of New York with a Masters in Film & Media Arts, specializing in writing & directing fiction. His thesis film, It Rises From the East won awards at Houston World fest (2008), Dam Short Film Festival(2008) & was nominated for the best short at New York’s Indo-American Arts Council FilmFestival (2009). His next short, Silent Wave played at 23 film festivals across the United States. It won numerous awards and nominations, including best editing at North West Ohio Film Festival (2012), Best Cinematography at We Like ‘Em Short Film Festival (2012), Best short film at Houston World fest (2013) & honorable mention at Trinidad Independent Film Festival(2013). DHUND (2018), a period drama based around partition premiered at the prestigiousMumbai Film Festival (MAMI) & won Large Short's Perfect 10 award. Currently Sudeep is finishing up post-production on his first feature, PRIVACY, a contemporary story set in Mumbai.
